Test 10 of our IELTS-style Listening series, written by BayRen in the format of the real exam, and a little harder than most of our tests. You hear four recordings: a woman phoning an online furniture company about problems with her delivery; a guide showing visitors around a tea estate, with a map to label; a tutor and a student talking through his research on why people queue; and part of a lecture on why wind is a danger to long bridges and how engineers deal with it. Answer the 40 questions as you go, with the exam's reading time and pauses. The answer key, a band guide and the reason behind every answer come at the end. None of it comes from a Cambridge book, so every question is new to you. How to use it Have a pen and paper ready, and write your answers as you listen. Play each part straight through: the real exam never pauses. Mark your answers only at the end, then check your band and read the explanations.
