TMEA CELLO ETUDE | Popper 22 | Texas All-State 2026-2027

TMEA Texas All-State 2026–2027 Cello Etude: Popper Etude No. 22 Joy Yanai, cello I am sharing this on behalf of my wife who would much rather watch dog reels than post any of her own content on social media. David Popper's Etude No. 22 is one of the more overtly musical etudes in the collection, but its elegance can be deceptive. The frequent shifts between hand frames require thoughtful coordination and structure to maintain fluency and musical freedom. We hope this recording serves as a useful reference for students preparing for the 2026–2027 TMEA All-State auditions. Best wishes in your preparation! www.joyyanai.com Houston, TX
