Homigot Sunrise Square Homigot is located at the easternmost end of the Korean peninsula, in what would be considered to be the tail, if thinking of the Korean peninsula as a tiger. After seven surveys conducted by cartographers, it was confirmed to be the easternmost point of the Korean Peninsula. Homigot Sunrise Square is known as the place in South Korea where you can see the sunrise earliest. Its iconic landmark, the Hands of Harmony, was completed in 1999 to celebrate the millennium. The two hands—one rising from the sea and one standing on land—symbolize mutual support and a hopeful future.
