Just Rain & Distant Machinery | Nothing Happened Tonight

This one came together slowly. Most of what you're hearing is rain, but there's a lot of space around it. A few distant lights. A little mechanical hum somewhere off in the dark. The feeling that people were here recently, but not anymore. I kept making the mix bigger and then pulling it back. The quiet parts ended up being more important. I think that's what I like about places like this. Nothing dramatic is happening. The rain falls. The lights stay on. And somehow that feels like enough. 🌧️ Rain and nighttime ambience for sleep, focus, or keeping you company for a while. 💙 All compositions created by Michael Nielsen
