Cruising from Queensferry to North Shields (edinburgh to newcastle) 2nd August 2025

Some real-time footage but mostly timelapsed, of our trip taking our princess motor cruiser from Port Edgar Marina, Queensferry, to Royal Quays Marina, North Shields on Saturday 2nd August 2025. Weather was good, no rain, wind was minimal, and sea state was fair with some larger swells later on but nothing that was risky or slowing us down. The trip took approx 6 hours travelling at around 20 knots. The boat will max out at about 27 knots but cruises happily at around 21/22 knots. It is a 1989 Princess 330 with twin 200hp volvo penta turbo diesels driving via shafts. We travel out of the marina and under the forth road and rail bridges, and east down the firth of forth. We reach the north sea and bear south east heading down the coast of the scottish borders before until we reach berwick on tweed, back down the northumberland coast as a reverse of the trip we did last week. This time instaed of going back to goole we head for tynemouth before leaving the boat for a rest at north shields.
