Part 12 The Junk Wood Porch & the Fridge Fiasco

Well, the refrigerator decided to give up the ghost, naturally at the worst possible time. Now, both the front door and back door are sitting over the new foundation, and the garage door inside the house is a whopping 29 inches wide. Ain’t no refrigerator getting through that little hole even if you plan on taking the refrigerator apart. So I did what any respectable old geezer would do: I went out back and started scrounging. I used pieces of the old, dilapidated porch, some foundation footer boards, and just about any piece of junk wood I could find laying around. Somehow, after enough measuring, cutting, cussing, and screwing things together, I ended up with a temporary porch that actually looks pretty darn good. It ain't fancy, but neither am I. Come along and see how this old junk wood got turned into a porch good enough to get that refrigerator where it belongs.
