How Much Does It REALLY Cost to Live Alone in Japan? 🇯🇵💰

What does it really cost to live in Japan? 🇯🇵💴 In this video, I’m taking you along for a simple grocery shopping and meal-prep day while sharing my real monthly living expenses in Japan as someone living alone. I went grocery shopping at two different stores to find better prices, made banana bread using my rice cooker, prepared squid adobo, beef, sweet potatoes, and eggs for my work bento, and then broke down some of my regular monthly expenses. Here’s a rough look at my monthly costs: 🍱 Food: ¥30,000 / about $200 📶 Wi-Fi: ¥4,000 / about $27 🏠 Apartment + electricity + water: ¥25,000 / about $167 💴 Taxes + other deductions: around ¥50,000 / about $333 Total: around ¥109,000 / about $727 Of course, everyone’s cost of living in Japan is different depending on their salary, location, rent, lifestyle, and spending habits. These are simply my personal expenses and my experience living in Japan.
