This victory marked the opening match of the second round. In their match against Japan, Taipei employed a strategy of utilising backfly attacks. Their middle blockers were formidable powerhouses, known for their speed. #11 Ching I Lin (21, 1.8m) was their key player. #6 Mei Ching Chen (21, 1.82m) & Lin Chun-yi (23, 1.83m) were another two scorers in the team. Turkey #17 Neslihan Demir (23yo, 1.87m) shone brightly and was a key player for her team. She was the most scored player in this tournament. #7 Natalia Hanikoğlu (29yo, 1.9m) and #5 Aysun Özbek (29yo, 1.83m) were another two scored players. They scored 18 and 16 points respectively in this match. Chinese Taipei displayed exceptional performance in the first round primarily due to their strategic split attack involving three to four players. Their receiving wasn’t particularly strong either; the setter attempted to pass the ball to the middle players. Furthermore, there was little analysis of the Taipei team as they hadn’t participated in any warm-up tournaments. By that stage, Turkey’s skills weren’t fully mature and they made numerous unforced and awkward errors. Ultimately, Chinese Taipei’s performance fell short of their first-round success, which was the main reason for their loss.
