32 HOURS IN THE EASTERN SIERRA: Sawtooth Ridge | Matterhorn

We backpacked in the Eastern Sierra Wilderness for 32 hours and covered 27 miles with 6,666ft of elevation gain/loss. We started in the Hoover Wilderness and ventured over the Sierra Crest into the Yosemite Wilderness. On this Hoover-Yosemite boundary lies the Sawtooth Ridge. We camped below this ridge, including Matterhorn peak, with the entire canyon completely to ourselves. Absolutely INSANE trip which was only supposed to be a "training weekend" for a big trip coming up next week... enjoy!!!!
