Delhi Police has taken strict action against the leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) for staging a protest at Jantar Mantar. Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka have been sent to 5-day judicial custody in Tihar Jail. According to the police, the leaders violated Section 163 of the BNSS and broke their bail bond conditions by entering the restricted area without permission. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke strongly criticized the arrests, questioning whether hoisting the national flag at Jantar Mantar is a crime. He further clarified that while the CJP remains an independent organization, its core objective to save democracy aligns with that of the INDIA bloc.
