Why does your body feel different after 40, even when you’re following the same habits that worked in your 20s or 30s? There usually isn’t one single reason.
In this Day 2 lesson, we look at how perimenopause and menopause, muscle mass, sleep, stress, exercise, recovery, and everyday responsibilities can all be part of the picture. If your energy, appetite, or body composition feels different, it doesn’t automatically mean you need more discipline.

Hormones are part of the conversation, but they aren’t the entire story. A routine that felt manageable before may feel different during a week of poor sleep, demanding work, caregiving, travel, or intense exercise. Your body experiences those demands together.
Rather than asking, “How can I push harder?” try asking, “What does my body have the capacity for today?” This lesson sets up the next part of the course, where we’ll look at common mistakes women make when old strategies stop working and introduce the Fasting Traffic Light.
