No Map, No Plan, Just the Gothic Quarter | Barcelona Part 1

"I'm just walking and discovering it. I'm not following a path. I don't have a map. I don't have anything." The Girona day trip got rained off, so instead I went to the Gothic Quarter with no plan at all and just started turning down whatever looked good. Within four minutes I watch a woman run a scam on tourists, dropping a bird on someone's shoulder and then holding her hand out until they pay. After that it's courtyards with nobody in them, a clock that's been hanging there since 1396, a door with a keyhole I try to work out, and enough alleyways that I realise early this is going to take hours. I also finally figured out the metro. 10 trips for 12 euros, plus a euro for the card. Barcelona, Spain. Day 30 of the Europe trip. Part 1 of 4.
