My name is Wade Corbin. My house is the last one on the line. The power goes out about ten times a winter, the nearest hardware store is forty minutes, and I have not had a mouse in this house in six years. No exterminator. No contract. No powder in a dish by the skirting board. And every mouse that has tried to come in here since has stopped at the same quarter-inch gap and gone somewhere easier. In this video I am going to walk you through exactly what I do, in the order I do it, for about two dollars. You will learn the measurement that changes how you look at your own walls, the thirteen places inside a house to check and the five outside, the two materials that work together and why neither one works alone, and the way to set a trap that almost nobody does. None of it needs electricity. None of it needs a contract. All of it is written on a public government page that anybody could have read. I am also going to tell you the part that might annoy you, which is that the trick the whole internet is selling you for this does not work. The two-dollar powder. The baking soda. The plaster of Paris. I went looking for a source for any of it and there is nothing, and I will show you where I looked and what I found instead. Mice carry disease and they chew wiring, so this is not a small problem. But the way most people have been told to handle it is not the only way, it is not the best way, and in the case of the powders it is not even a way. The thing that actually works costs two dollars and a Saturday afternoon, and it has been sitting in plain sight the whole time. Go and find a pencil this weekend and walk your own house with it. Mark every gap it fits into. Tell me in the comments what decade your house was built in, because it changes where the gaps are, and I read every one of them. And tell me what you found. Next video: what the Army wrote down about staying warm with no heating at all, in a manual from 1968 that is free to read and that almost nobody outside the service has ever seen. Subscribe so you do not miss it. Stay warm. Stay dry. And remember, the people who had to work these things out for themselves usually got closer to the truth than the people selling you the answer. #MousePrevention #PestControl #OldHouse #HomeMaintenance #RuralLiving #SelfReliance #Homestead #WinterPrep #NoElectricity #CheapFixes #Handyman #ThingsThatWork
