In this video, we're showing you how to transition from Single Leg X to 50/50 and finish with a straight ankle lock when your partner removes your foot from their hip.
When playing Single Leg X, one of the biggest problems is keeping your partner from escaping or standing up once they remove your foot from their hip. Instead of fighting to maintain the original position, we're going to show you how to use their movement to transition into 50/50 and set up a strong ankle lock.
We'll break down how to use your legs to prevent your partner from standing, secure double pant cuff grips, create space to transition into 50/50, and establish the correct position for the ankle lock.
We'll also cover an important detail that often gets overlooked when finishing ankle locks: controlling your partner's leg, not just their foot. You'll learn why knee pressure, foot placement, and hip movement are essential for getting a tight finish.
