Turbocharged power was only the beginning. The Ferrari F40 demanded that its driver understand the machine — and the grip beneath it.
This MTCM special explores the F40’s origins, twin-turbo V8, charge cooling, lightweight construction and direct controls, showing how those engineering decisions connect at the tyre–road contact.
Narration: Jack John. Original score and technical reconstructions: MTCM.
Modern preserved-car photographs are identified in the film. Technical geometry and motion are explanatory, not factory CAD or measured tests. The cabin includes a labelled AI-generated studio reconstruction based on the credited interior photograph. Thumbnail: AI-assisted illustration after the credited CC0 F40 photograph.
