This week we got the chance to learn more about Georgia's long history of winemaking. The country has a vast range of indigenous grapes and a unique method for fermenting the grapes. They use giant terracotta pots that resemble amphoras, buried in the floor of the wine cellar. We also visited a peaceful monastery situated along a bubbling brook and thoroughly enjoyed shopping at a local market. At the market we found something that looked like twigs or roots. I never found out what it is, so if you know please comment below. I'd really like to know! We also creeped ourselves out at the Stalin museum in his hometown of Gori. Overall, it was a fun filled but relaxing week, so come along for the adventure!
