In the second episode of our mini-series on organized labour, Spring Radio takes a look at how some of the lessons learned in the previous episode work in practice. To explore this, Spring member Josh Frame talks to Helen Victoros, an ex-teacher and local union president with Toronto District School Board, Peter Hogarth, school teacher and Spring member, and Brennan Caverhill, teacher and Spring member. They discuss the fight for good education in Ontario, the current round of bargaining for education workers, and what lessons organized workers can learn from the massive events involving education workers in 2022. Later in the episode, producer & co-host Rajean Hoilett speaks with Christa Rioux. Christa is a CUPE education worker mobilizer & Secretary-Treasurer with the OSBCU.
