Etna Winery | Barone di Villagrande

Recently I visited a well known winery on Etna, Barone di Villagrande. Located on the road between Zafferana Etnea and Milo with lovely vineyards built on Etna slopes heading towards the glittering Mediterranean sea on 700 m.a.s.l. A wine dream! This winery cultivates since 1727 and is one of the leading wineries on the eastern side of Etna. It is family owned and run by the 10th generation. The winery has production also on Salina Island. It is worth visiting their events that do not happen often, but when they do it is always well organized and stylish, including local gourmet produce with the wine tasting.
