Welcome to Day 2 — RELEASE of 7 Days to a Calmer Body & Mind. 🌿
Yesterday, we learned to arrive and become aware of our bodies. Today, we're taking the next step: creating space to release physical tension through gentle, mindful movement.
Sometimes we carry tension without even noticing it—in our shoulders, neck, upper back and hips. Today's practice invites you to slow down, move with awareness and give your body an opportunity to soften.
You don't need to push harder or stretch deeper. Simply listen to your body and move within a comfortable range.
🌿 TODAY'S PRACTICE
In this gentle Hatha Yoga session, we'll explore:
Neck and shoulder mobility
Cat–Cow (Marjaryasana–Bitilasana)
Thread the Needle
Puppy Pose
Low Lunge (Anjaneyasana)
Half Split (Ardha Hanumanasana)
Gentle Hatha Yoga flow
Supine twists and relaxation
Shavasana
Level: Beginner-friendly
Duration: Approximately 28 minutes
Props: Yoga mat; optional cushion or blanket
🧘 TODAY'S INTENTION
“I don't have to carry everything so tightly.”
Move slowly, breathe naturally and remember that your practice doesn't need to look perfect.
DAY 2 REFLECTION
After your practice, ask yourself:
Where do I physically hold stress?
And then:
What happens when I consciously soften that area?
Take a moment to write down what you notice.
YOUR 7-DAY JOURNEY
Day 1 — ARRIVE: Come back to your body
Day 2 — RELEASE: Let the body put down what it's holding
Day 3 — BREATHE: Explore the breath
Day 4 — UNWIND: Create space from mental noise
Day 5 — RESTORE: Make room for rest
Day 6 — STABILIZE: Build strength and steadiness
Day 7 — INTEGRATE: Create your own calming practice
⚠️ PRACTICE SAFELY
Move within your comfortable range and never force a stretch. Modify or skip any movement that causes discomfort. If you have an injury, a medical condition, are pregnant, or are unsure whether the practice is suitable for you, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before participating. Stop if you experience pain, dizziness or unusual breathlessness.
This practice is intended for general wellness and is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Thank you for practicing with me.
Take what you learned on the mat into the rest of your day. You don't have to release everything at once. Sometimes, simply softening your grip is enough.
See you on Day 3. 🌿
