The Last Temptation of Becky Trailer Explained: The Key Finally Opens Something

The Last Temptation of Becky hits theaters on November 4. In the new trailer, the numbers hidden inside Becky's key finally turn out to be coordinates, and what's funny is where they point: the Wolf's Lair, Hitler's old headquarters in a Polish forest. In other words, the most made-up-sounding idea in the trailer is the real one, because there actually is a hotel there today. Lulu Wilson is back as Becky, now a CIA field agent, with Kate Siegel as her handler and Neil Patrick Harris as General Wilhelm Reuss. I go through what the key meant in the first two films, the real history of the Wolf's Lair and the 1944 bomb plot, the grenade-shaped key fob at the front desk, and the triangle symbol on the bunker walls. You can see it for maybe half a second. Then there's the man in a smoke-filled room that the trailer never explains, and I don't know about you, but with a chemist on the villain's payroll I have a guess. The thing is, the comedian-as-Nazi casting keeps working on me. Kevin James, Seann William Scott, and now Barney Stinson. If you think about it, it's no coincidence the franchise keeps doing it. If you like going into a premiere already knowing what to look for, subscribe. I break down a new trailer every week.
