Authorized Airplane Preventive Maintenance for Pilots

Pilots can perform preventive maintenance on their airplanes such as: Oil Changes, replacing Landing Gear Tires, and replacing Spark Plugs, to name a few authorized airplane maintenance items. According to 14 CFR Part 43, the holder of a pilot certificate issued under 14 CFR Part 61 may perform specified preventive maintenance on any aircraft owned by that pilot, as long as the aircraft is not used under 14 CFR Part 121, 127, 129, or 135. #airplane #aviation #airport #pilot #flight #maintenance #oilchange #sparkplugs #tires
