I Went for a Wander Around Cairns… Here’s What I Found

Welcome back to Without a Plan. This time I'm staying right here in Cairns, Far North Queensland and doing what this channel does best — heading out with no real plan and seeing where I end up. I start with a walk along the Cairns Esplanade, taking in the waterfront and having a look at what's happening around the city. From there I head into Rusty's Markets for a wander through one of Cairns' best-known local markets, before making my way over to Gilligan's for a look around one of the city's most famous backpacker and nightlife spots. No itinerary, no Top 10 list and definitely no polished travel-show nonsense. Just a walk around Cairns, a bit of commentary and whatever I happen to stumble across along the way.
