How do you delegate a task with Copilot? In this lesson I ask Copilot to write a delegation brief with six parts: the outcome, what done looks like, constraints, resources, a first step, and the due date with two check-ins. I add the parts only I know: the outcome, the dates, and who approves it. Then I ask Copilot to read the brief as the new person and tell me what would be unclear. It found six questions, so I answer them, Copilot rewrites the brief, and I put it in the task notes in Planner so the task and the brief live in one place. In this lesson: The six parts of a good delegation brief The prompt, with the current file picked with / The parts only you know: the outcome, the date, who approves Read the brief Ask Copilot to read it as the other person Answer the questions and rewrite the brief Check that Copilot did not add a date or a rule you never decided Put the brief in the Planner task notes For managers: book the first check-in right away What goes wrong Prompts from this lesson (copy and try them): I need to delegate [task] to [name], who is new to it.
