Experience an intense winter combat mission in DCS World as an F/A-18C Hornet launches from a remote road base hidden deep within the forests of the Caucasus. Surrounded by a lightly snow-covered landscape, the Hornet prepares for a high-risk strike against an enemy airfield. After taking off from the improvised FARP, the Hornet heads toward hostile territory to suppress the enemy's air defenses. Using AGM-88 HARM missiles, the pilot targets and destroys the airfield's radar-guided SAM systems, clearing the way for the main strike. With the air defenses neutralized, the Hornet moves on to the primary objective. Armed with GBU-38 precision-guided bombs, the pilot attacks the enemy airfield, targeting multiple fighter aircraft parked on the ground, along with an AWACS aircraft and a bomber. One by one, the parked aircraft are destroyed as precision strikes tear through the airfield. With the mission successfully completed, the F/A-18C turns back toward the snow-covered Caucasus landscape. After the long flight home, the Hornet returns to the remote road base and performs a smooth landing, bringing the mission to an end. This DCS World mission combines low-key winter scenery with intense SEAD and precision strike action, showcasing the versatility of the F/A-18C Hornet in a challenging improvised-base operation.
