Yeah, I like how these tracks have such generic names. Although they are quite similar in feel.
Also, weirdly enough, both this track and the previous one actually have a Channel 13 and 14 entry, but they actually go unused. My guess is that the music somehow just initializes them so that they can be used for the sound effects. Although I haven't heard any from my short-ass gameplay of this game.
This same thing also applies to a Super Mario Bros. port for the IIGS. The one I have, at least.
It's a demo that uses the same exact song for the entire game, the song being an Amiga conversion, which itself is a cover of Thing on a Spring's main theme. Which's funny when you consider I heard this conversion FAR before Thing on a Spring. I only found out that it was a conversion about halfway thru my C64 arc. Heh.
So now let's get to the track, shall we···
This one is in B minor, while the previous one is in A minor. Interesting choice here, as B minor is quite a powerful key, which I myself don't find particularly fitting for a very first stage in a game. It's··· just too much. I'd rather place it at the end of the soundtrack or somewhere near that. Just like how B itself is the last note of a piano's slice. If that analogy makes any sense.
