No, this isn't where the name Operation World came from. In fact, I've only heard about this game long after I came up with that name! So yeah, this is an action/puzzle game for the IIGS. It actually suffers from the same issue those FTA songs I shared here do, where they actually play in a higher pitch when playing them inside the programs they're supposed to run on. I'm starting to suspect this is actually an issue with the replayer used for both those FTA demos and consequently many games in this machine. However, unlike with FTA's songs, I actually didn't bother adjusting the pitch here. What you're hearing now is how it is, I guess, supposed to be played. I don't think I remember reading on Bret's own website that these tunes were supposed to be played in a higher pitched, at least··· I also haven't really played this game, aside from just listening to its soundtrack. 2 of its mere 5 tracks. This one being the title screen one, and the next one being for the first level, I'd guess. Because this game actually has 100 fucking levels. Does it have the same 4 tracks being played for each 25 of them? Or worse, 3, as I'm still not sure if the last one is for an ending cutscene or not. I actually have barely listened to this soundtrack myself. So yeah, I guess there's more to come here. This is how both the month of September, and the IIGS arc ends, for now.
