Aam Dal aka Kacha aam diye Toker Dal aka Tok Dal is a summer special Bengali comfort Lentil Soup. We use unripe Mango aka Kacha aam along with Masoor Dal aka Red lentil to cook this delicacy. There is another version of Tok Dal which is cooked with Matar Dal which I will show another time here at Debjanir Rannaghar. Aam Daal is mostly served with a side of Aloo Bhate or Aloo Bhaja or any other light side dish such as Aloo Posto.
