We rode 167 km along Ontario's Algonquin Trail — part of the Trans Canada Trail - following a former railway through river towns, farmland, and forest in the Ottawa Valley, ending where this section of the trail currently stops.
This route begins in Carleton Place on the Ottawa Valley Recreation Trail, which here forms part of a Trans Canada Trail spur heading northwest. From Arnprior westward, the route continues as the Algonquin Trail through Almonte, Pakenham, Arnprior, Renfrew, Cobden, and Pembroke, before reaching its current endpoint near Wylie Road.
Filmed over several summer and early fall rides, this video shows real trail conditions, scenery, and communities along the route.
