Somewhere in Hollywood, director James Cameron was putting the finishing touches on his film Aliens , a terrifying science-fiction thriller starring Sigourney Weaver as the android-hating, alien-punching Ellen Ripley. ...At least one of these events would have far-reaching implications for a video game series which also began this year with the release, on Nintendo's brand spanking new Famicom Disk System, of a bizarre action-adventure game unlike anything gamers had ever seen.
