A 4K evening walk through Imaike, Nagoya, Japan — from dusk into night, past old eateries, izakaya pubs, pachinko parlors and live music venues. Unlike Sakae, a neat and tidy downtown, Imaike grew out of a postwar black market, and old-fashioned shops, bars, live music venues, alleyways, signs and the everyday lives of the people who live here all sit side by side. The captions this time: a neighbourhood I'd known by name for years and been to many times — but had never simply wandered, with nowhere in particular to go. The walk passes Miyamoto Munashi, Torikizoku and the Imaike Tonan shopping street on Daiei-dori, Oshioya's okonomiyaki, Misen — home of Nagoya's Taiwan ramen — and Imaike Park, then turns into the side streets of old shops as night falls, on to Pikaichi, Don Quijote, Imaikeya and the Bottom Line live music venue.
