WRONG PARTS?

What should have been a straightforward fuel injector replacement on this 1988 C4 Corvette turned into a much bigger job than expected! After completing a tune-up on this 5.7L Tuned Port Injection (TPI) Corvette, we're moving on to replacing the original fuel injectors. The car runs, but it just doesn't perform the way it should. In this video, I'll walk you through removing the upper intake plenum, disconnecting the throttle body, dealing with vacuum lines, removing the intake runners, and finally getting the fuel rail and original injectors out. Along the way, we'll take a look at the cold start injector system, some tricky bolts, and a few tools that make working in tight spaces considerably easier. And just when I thought we were ready to install the new injectors, we discovered another problem: the replacement injectors weren't the correct ones! Sometimes these older cars just don't cooperate! This is part of an ongoing series getting this 1988 Corvette running the way it should.
