Honda Rebel 500 Cromer to North Walsham POV ride

Join me for another Honda Rebel 500 motorcycle ride through Norfolk, this time riding from the seaside resort of Cromer along the A149 to the market town of North Walsham. This particular stretch of the A149 probably isn't going to win any awards for being the most exciting road in Norfolk, but that doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable to ride. There are a couple of lovely sweeping corners, some longer straight sections where I can let the Honda Rebel 500 stretch its legs a little, and plenty of typical Norfolk countryside to enjoy along the way. The route also takes me through Thorpe Market, a quintessentially English rural village with the sort of quaint character that makes travelling through the Norfolk countryside so enjoyable. This isn't a road for chasing big speeds. The A149 along this section is relatively slow, and it's also regularly frequented by police keeping an eye out for speeding motorists. But to be honest, you don't need to ride fast to enjoy it. The Honda Rebel 500 cruiser is perfectly happy taking things at a more relaxed pace. There's something satisfying about simply settling into the ride, enjoying the scenery, listening to the parallel twin and making progress through the Norfolk countryside without feeling the need to rush. For me, that's part of the appeal of riding a motorcycle. It's not always about finding the fastest or most challenging road. Sometimes it's just about enjoying the journey, discovering the countryside and seeing where the road takes you.
