Park Head Coastal path near Mawgan Porth visit in a wheelchair with my assistance dog Where is it? Park head Car Park post code: PL27 7UU free or payment: free to national trust members Disabled parking Bays no just up to 10 spaces Distance of route? 35 mins one way Circular route? no Disabled toilets? There are no toilets available , the nearest is at the Carnewas National trust about 5 mins drive away Cafe or drink food facility? None here . The Carnewas NT site has cafe facilities. Tramper Hire? NONE How many available? How long can you have it? Extra payment? Gates? 3 gates. They can be opened forward and backward and have lever which moves sideways. Terrain: loose gravel and grass. Please be mindful that if there has been a lot of rain the terrain can be quiet muddy at the beginning. Phone signal isnt great so I would highly recommend you coming with someone. EASY Moderate This is a fairly flat terrain with a few bumps due to the grass. Also there may on occasion be cows in the field. Scenery: Coastal Shelter? none Experience: I really love this place. Its definitely high on my go to places. The entrance to the car park is slightly hidden as it isn't very well signposted but hopefully your sat nav will find it. There aren't a lot of spaces so you may want to come a bit early. It can get really muddy and I have been when it is and got stuck several times. This has been fed back to the NT. Not always great to have gates ideally non would be better but these gates seem to work well. If you follow the pathway directly opposite where the ticket machine is. You will see the first gate. The views are literally amazing. Please don’t go to close to the edge as they have experience land fall in this area. The cows were an extra treat and they did follow us but they were friendly thankfully. You really are in the middle of know where and its just wonderful to be able to access some of the coastal path that is flat!! you might see quiet a few runners too. It isn't a circular walk but definitely well worth it if you can.
