ERIK PRINCE, CONGO’S MINERALS AND U.S. SANCTIONS ON RWANDA: WHAT IS THE CONNECTION? An ambush in eastern Congo wounded former U.S. Special Forces soldier Tim Kennedy and caused casualties among personnel working for Erik Prince. Weeks later, Washington sanctioned Rwanda’s Ministry of Defence and Zigama CSS. Did those battlefield losses influence the decision—or are separate developments being linked without sufficient evidence?
