Agroforestry farm in Portugal! - Full farm tour

🌱 Tour of an Agroforestry Market Garden in Portugal | Farm Design, Soil, Natural Succession & Waste Management In this video, I take you on a tour of a market gardening farm in Portugal that I designed using agroforestry and regenerative agriculture principles. We explore how the whole system was designed to work with natural succession, soil biology, water, organic matter, trees, crops and farm waste. I’ll walk you through the thinking behind the design and show you how different parts of the farm fit together as one productive ecosystem. 🌿 In this farm tour, we’ll explore: The farm design process and the thinking behind the layout How agroforestry principles can be integrated into market gardening Soil strategies for building fertility and improving soil health Working with natural succession to mimic the dynamics of a forest Waste management and turning farm residues into fertility How different elements can be connected to create a more regenerative and resilient farming system If you're interested in agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, market gardening, permaculture, soil health, ecological farming, farm design or sustainable food production, I hope this tour gives you some useful ideas for your own project. Thank you to my friends Jack Hogdson and Giuseppe Sannicandro for helping in the design ohase if this great project! 🌱 Subscribe for more farm tours, ecological design, agroforestry and regenerative agriculture.
