CATIA modeling Automation with Astra (Open AI - Chat GPT Codex Astra light ver)Test

AI is getting better fast, and 3D modeling is starting to feel the impact. Recently, I tested GPT Astra Light with CATIA. I provided two aerial views and one façade view, then asked the AI to create the model with minimal instructions. I intentionally did not define the architectural decisions, modeling method, or detailed CATIA workflow. The goal was simpley see how much it could figure out on its own. The result was promising enough that I’m now considering a more structured test with the Pro version. For me, the key question is no longer just whether AI can generate a building concept. It is: How do we turn an AI-generated rendering into a usable engineering model? That will require more than AI itself. We will need clearer modeling rules, technical documentation, output standards, reusable templates, and better-defined workflows.
