*49th IHF World Hospital Congress 2026* October 19–22, 2026 | Seoul, South Korea *Lecture Venue:* Chaum Life Center, Seoul, South Korea As part of the 49th IHF World Hospital Congress 2026, healthcare leaders from around the world visited Chaum Life Center in Seoul, South Korea. I had the opportunity to share Chaum's unique approach to preventive medicine and longevity care with them. *What if we didn’t wait for disease to appear before we started treating it?* Modern medicine is exceptionally good at diagnosing and treating established disease. But many chronic conditions develop gradually—through metabolic changes, vascular damage, inflammation, nutritional imbalance, and other early dysfunctions—long before a formal diagnosis is made. This is the **pre-disease window**, and it may be one of the most important opportunities in the future of healthcare. *In this lecture, I discuss:* • Why healthcare needs to move from reactive treatment toward proactive prevention • The global burden of preventable chronic diseases • The limitations of conventional health screening • How we identify and address risk before disease develops • The Chaum Life Center model of preventive and longevity care • Precision nutrition and individualized lifestyle interventions • Atherosclerosis as an example of residual risk beyond LDL cholesterol • The role of oxidative stress, omega-6/omega-3 balance, small dense LDL, vitamins D and K, and the gut microbiome • How longitudinal care can translate complex medical data into practical, personalized action At Chaum, our goal is not simply to collect more data. It is to use that information to understand what each person needs and to provide personalized, evidence-based guidance for long-term health. Ultimately, the future of medicine should not be only about extending lifespan. *It should be about extending healthy lifespan.* --- *About the Speaker* *Sooyeon Oh, MD, PhD* Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine CHA University School of Medicine Chaum Life Center, Seoul, South Korea Author of The New Health Generation: Know the Numbers Your Body Needs Before You Get Sick 📖 *The New Health Generation* A science-based guide to disease prevention, lifestyle medicine, and healthy longevity. 🌐 Website: https://thenewhealthgeneration.com 📷 Instagram:   / new.health.gen.en   ▶️ YouTube:    / @newhealthgen   #WorldHospitalCongress #ChaumLifeCenter #PreventiveMedicine #Longevity #HealthyLongevity #LifestyleMedicine #PrecisionMedicine #PrecisionNutrition #HealthyAging #TheNewHealthGeneration
