Michael Thomas (1922–1997) was an English harpsichordist, clavichordist, and instrument builder. The Claviorganum is a hybrid keyboard instrument that combines a stringed keyboard (such as a harpsichord or clavichord) with an organ, allowing the player to produce the sharp pluck of a harpsichord alongside the sustained tones of pipes or reeds.
