Live & Direct Session with NASH.V.ILL

Live & Direct Sesson with NASH.V.ILL. Local 913 featured artist for April. NASH.V.ILL is one of the most exciting Pittsburgh bands I’ve seen live in recent years. Led by guitarist Byron Nash and vocalist Jacquea Mae, NASH.V.ILL are a true melting pot of musical influences ranging from funk and soul to hard rock and metal. Actually, they describe it even better when they say it’s like “P-Funk meets Aretha Franklin at a Jimi Hendrix concert while listening to Black Sabbath on the way to the show.” NASH.V.ILL’s latest release — It Takes a Village Mixtape: Volume 1 — is a collection of songs played incredibly well, locked into tight grooves, and bursting with positivity. Some of the songs like “OMW” and “Can’t Bring Me Down” deal with the band’s never-be-defeated attitude, and others like “Lenora” and “Sister” were inspired by family relationships. We absolutely loved the sultry and seductive song “Tha Feelgood.” NASH.V.ILL are mainstays around Pittsburgh who have played at a ton of venues and events during the last few years. Their next show will be at the Millvale Music Festival on May 16. Set list: On My Way Tha Feelgood Can't Bring Me Down If I'm In Luck Interviewer: Joey Spehar Engineers: Thomas Cipollone, Ben Kindberg
