Oogway INVENTED the Dragon Warrior (and 500 Years Prove It)

Kung Fu Panda 3 puts the Dragon Warrior prophecy at 500 years old, the same 500 years since Master Oogway's war with Kai ended, and that match turns the valley's most sacred legend into Oogway's plan to stop his own brother-in-arms. This Kung Fu Panda theory follows the one scroll that records Kai, the message that brought Po's father to the valley and the reason Oogway was waiting for a panda, then counts who paid for the plan: Tai Lung, Shifu, Kai and Po himself.
