Faith Rising: Church Reach and Exposure

Are you shining your light, or are you keeping your faith hidden without even realizing it? This message digs into what it truly means to be a witness for God right where you are, whether that is a place you chose or one you did not. Drawing from Jeremiah 29, Matthew 5, and Acts 1:8, this teaching explores how God calls His people not just to survive in difficult or unexpected seasons, but to thrive, to grow, and to reach the people around them with the love of Christ. Just as God instructed the Israelites in Babylon to build, plant, and seek the peace of the city they were sent to, He calls believers today to do the same in their homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, and communities. Jesus declared in Matthew 5 that His followers are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Light is not meant to be covered. It is meant to illuminate, to guide, and to draw people out of darkness. This message unpacks what it looks like to let that light shine consistently in everyday life, not through pressure or performance, but through genuine, Spirit-filled living. You will also discover the connection between the Holy Spirit and being a witness, rooted in Acts 1:8, and why the power given to believers is not just for personal blessing but for reaching others. From your immediate circle to your broader community and beyond, you are called and equipped to be a living testimony of what God has done. Practical takeaways include how to share your faith naturally in conversation, how to invite people into community, and how to feed your faith daily so you have something to give when the opportunity comes.
