An SBI agent checked five phone numbers tied to the defendant against Faith's phone, her roommate's and the tower dumps. None of them turned up.
This is the Faith Hedgepeth murder trial in Durham County, North Carolina. Faith was a 19-year-old UNC student. Miguel Enrique Salguero-Olivares is on trial on the charges and is presumed innocent. In the last Part of Day 8 the agent takes the jury from tower dumps with no suspect to a new person of interest, nine years after the crime.
Hold two answers side by side: nothing he found ties the defendant to anyone in Faith's circle, and a tower dump, he says, never proves someone was not there. So what does a missing link tell this jury?
