On a day when weather and equipment problems combined to make filming difficult, a rare visitor arrived at the Border City. My plans for filming at two Eden Valley locations fell by the wayside but a young friend from the North-East of England arrived at Armathwaite signal box and received a practical lesson in the art of railway signalling - which he agreed to share with you.
