Bible in a Year Day 278 Luke 8:1-8 and 8:19-21 Mark 3:20-35 and 4:1-20 Matthew 12:22-50 and 13:1-9 Luke mentions 3 women, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Herod’s steward’s wife, and Susanna, who had been healed by and were following Jesus. The scribes and Pharisees accused Jesus of having an unclean spirit, and casting out demons in the name of demons. Jesus told them that any blasphemy, even against the son can be forgiven, But, blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is the one unforgivable sin. The scribes and Pharisees asked for a sign. Jesus called them an evil and adulterous generation, and said that the sign of Jonah is the only sign they will receive. Pointed toward His disciples, Jesus said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God, this is My brother, and sister, and mother” (Mark 3:34-35). Jesus tells the parable of the sower. By the road, it will be eaten by birds. On rocky ground, it will grow, but wither with no roots. Among the thorns, it will be choked. In good soil, it will produce much. The explanation of the parable is in Mark 4.
