The Lost Folk Archive Folk from Places That Never Existed ✦ Selqara · 1328 Beyond the pale salt shore, Selqara rests beneath a blue moon. The water is dark and almost still, lanterns flicker along the distant harbor, and the old city fades slowly into mist. Boats move like shadows beneath the walls while wind passes through stone alleys, wooden piers and abandoned towers. This piece imagines the voice of that vanished place — part folk song, part poem, part memory carried across the water. The words speak of the moon, the harbor, the people who once lived beside the sea, and the strange silence that surrounds Selqara after nightfall. ♪ Perfect For ✦ • Deep Listening • Late-Night Reading • Writing & Journaling • Quiet Cafés • Moonlit Evenings • Slow Reflection • Solitary Study • Headphone Listening • Dreamlike Travel • Poetic Storytelling • Coastal Night Atmosphere • Moments of Stillness --- ▪︎ The music remains slow, sparse and deeply immersive. Sea wind, distant water, wooden creaks and faint harbor sounds become part of the composition itself. Strange bowed textures, breath-like wind instruments, soft stone and wood percussion, and fragile vocal phrases appear slowly through long spaces of silence. Nothing is meant to rise too far above the landscape. The voice, the environment and the music remain close to one another — as if the song were being heard from somewhere across the water rather than performed directly in front of you. This is the idea behind The Lost Folk Archive: imagined folk traditions from places that never existed, each with its own geography, rituals, voices and memory. A city beneath the moon. A shore without a map. A song carried across water from a history that never happened. ✦ A Personal Musical Reimagining conceived, written, arranged, and produced by SaeidTalebi ○ 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 — 𝐢𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲, 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲.
