UNPLANNED CAMPING ADVENTURE AT MAELIYA LAKE | BOAT STAY, BBQ FISH & FISHERMEN’S WADIYA 🌿🔥 Sometimes, the most unforgettable adventures are the ones we never plan! ❤️ This time, our journey took us to the beautiful Maeliya Lake, near Kurunegala, for a completely unplanned camping experience that turned into one of our most memorable adventures. 🌿🏞️ We met Mewan Uncle, and that unexpected meeting led us to a whole new adventure! With the help of the local fishermen, who welcomed us with open hearts, we took a boat across the lake and found a place to spend the night in the middle of nature. 🚣‍♂️🌊 The fishermen took us to their traditional Wadiya, where we experienced their simple and beautiful way of life. As the evening settled in, we prepared a delicious BBQ using freshly caught fish and some BBQ cassava. 🐟🔥🥥 But the adventure didn’t end there! We even spent the night on a boat, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the lake. Waking up in such a unique place was an experience we’ll never forget. The next morning, we returned to the fishermen’s Wadiya and prepared breakfast while the fishermen headed out onto the lake to catch fish. Watching their daily lives and sharing these simple moments with them made this journey even more special. ❤️🎣 No luxury hotels, no fixed plans, and no expectations. Just a beautiful lake, friendly people, delicious food, and an unforgettable night in the heart of nature.
