📘 The Complete Smart Pickleball Library (4 books for players over 60): https://smartpickleball.netlify.app/?b=2&v... Four small mistakes cost players over sixty more points than slow legs ever do. None of the fixes needs a new swing, a new paddle or a faster first step. They work with the game you already have. In this video: • Mistake 1 — The paddle hangs low at the kitchen line. Why a low paddle turns your backhand volley into a pop-up, and where to hold it instead (up, in front, a little toward your backhand). • Mistake 2 — The short return. How a high, slow, deep return buys you the time to walk, not run, to the kitchen line — and what roughly 2,000 charted amateur points showed about deep returns (Gandhi & Powers, published by The Dink, 2024). • Mistake 3 — Aiming for the lines. Why the middle is the smart target: the net is 34 inches at the center and 36 at the sidelines (USA Pickleball Official Rulebook), and a ball down the middle makes both opponents hesitate. • What to do when your knees, hips, shoulder or elbow won't do what they used to — and the one thing never to do when a lob goes over your head. • Mistake 4 — Moving when your opponent hits. Why standing still at the right moment gets you to the ball sooner. • Plus a simple drill you can do tonight at home with a pair of socks. Which mistake is yours? Tell me in the comments with one word: paddle, return, middle, or still. Everything I teach on this channel is written down in The Complete Smart Pickleball Library — four books, practice cards for your phone and a source for every fact: https://smartpickleball.netlify.app/?b=2&v... It is not medical advice and does not treat, cure or prevent any injury or condition. Talk to your doctor before starting or changing any physical activity, especially if you have knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, heart or balance problems. Always move within a comfortable range and stop if anything hurts. Never backpedal for a lob: turn and move sideways, or let your partner take it. Protective eyewear is recommended on the court. Results vary from player to player and nothing here is guaranteed. Jenny is a digital presenter. The coaching stories in this video are told for teaching purposes; Earl, the old coach, is a fictional character. #pickleball #seniorpickleball #pickleballtips #pickleballover60
