This journey through Lower Silesia started with palaces… …but ended with something completely unexpected. Over two days, I explored the Valley of Palaces and Gardens near Jelenia Góra — one of the most unique regions in Poland, known for its historic estates, royal residences, and carefully designed landscapes. From the elegant grounds of Pałac Łomnica and Pałac Wojanów, to the mysterious and inaccessible Pałac Bobrów, and the romantic setting of Fischbach Castle in Karpniki — this area tells the story of how wealth, power, and landscape shaped a region over centuries. But the real surprise came on the second day. Following the Bóbr River to the medieval Siedlęcin Tower, I discovered something truly rare — a set of Gothic murals depicting the story of Lancelot. These paintings are one of the only surviving examples of Arthurian legend preserved in this form, and show how Western European culture reached Silesia during the Middle Ages. This is more than just a travel video — it’s a journey through history, landscape, and unexpected connections. 📍 Locations featured: Jelenia Góra Pałac Łomnica Pałac Wojanów Pałac Bobrów Karpniki & Fischbach Castle Siedlęcin Tower Bóbr River 🎥 Related videos: Exploring Chojnik Castle Jelenia Góra – More Than Just a Gateway 👍 If you enjoy travel videos that combine history, nature, and storytelling, consider subscribing.
