That Everlasting Rag by William Held (1911)

Will Held (1888-1925) was a Philadelphia musician and music teacher who composed in a variety of genres. He wrote three rags, this one and "Fire Cracker Rag" both in 1911 plus "Chromatic Rag" his best-known work in 1916 which has become an enduring classic. He also married in 1916. HIs life and career were cut short as he died from natural causes in 1925 at the age of 36. "That Everlasting Rag" was published by Chas. E. Roat Music Co. in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1911.
