Ride up the green mountain roads of Hiroshima, Japan, from Aki-Kawajiri Station toward the Kabuto Rock viewpoint (かぶと岩展望台) on Mt. Noro.
This approximately 23-minute ride follows Prefectural Route 248 and the Sazanami Skyline. The climb makes me wish for a little more power from the 125cc sidecar, but there is plenty of time to take in the trees and winding road.
A scooter passes me along the way—I hadn’t noticed it behind me. Sorry for the slow climb! This is also a road I’d like to ride again when the cherry blossoms are out in spring.
No talking, engine noise, or ambient sound—just instrumental smooth jazz and the passing scenery.
